SustainabiliSEA: Tourism Promotions Board Partners with Save Palawan Seas Foundation for their Corporate Social Responsibility Program

The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines has selected the Save Palawan Seas Foundation as one of their partners for the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program this year. Their joint program “SUSTAINABILISEA: SPSF x TPB Create Hope.โ€, scheduled to take place in Taytay, Palawan, from June 5 to June 7, 2024, aims to promote sustainable tourism practices, community empowerment, and environmental conservation.

The formalization of this partnership was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on May 16, 2024, in Pasay City. The signing ceremony was attended by Ms. Maria Margarita M. Nograles, Chief Operating Officer of TPB, Atty. Venancio C. Manuel III, Deputy Chief Operating Officer for Corporate Affairs at TPB, and Ms. Stephanie Margaux Inocando, Foundation Manager at SPSF.

The SUSTAINABILISEA program is closely aligned with SPSFโ€™s mission to protect and conserve the marine ecosystems of Palawan. Moreover, it embodies TPBโ€™s commitment to fostering sustainable tourism, aiming to integrate tourism development with environmental preservation and community upliftment.

As part of the program’s launch in Taytay, Palawan, both SPSF and TPB will collaborate with local government units to implement various initiatives. These efforts will highlight the importance of sustainable tourism and demonstrate the significant impact of collaborative efforts in achieving long-term environmental and social benefits. This also underscores the critical need for sustainable tourism practices and the powerful outcomes that can be achieved through joint endeavors.
